A unique and highly significant 19th Century artificial island, built as part of the strategic defence network of Port Phillip when Melbourne was vulnerable to invasion for its gold riches.

Access the labyrinth of underground passages small lobbies and magazines, and be privy to the stunning views over the bay.

Sturdy walking shoes are recommended. A degree of mobility is also required. If you are unsure please call their friendly staff.

Tours operate daily between November and April from Queenscliff Harbour, with limited tours between between June and August.
