Searoad Ferries, the car and passenger ferry service, connects the Great Ocean Road and the Bellarine to the Mornington Peninsula Travelling between Sorrento and Queenscliff, the 40 minute crossing is a great way to experience the beauty of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay and is a great alternative to the three hour drive around the Bay through city traffic.

Two specially designed all weather 60 metre ferries have easy drive on/drive off facilities, spacious comfortable lounges with full-length windows, a tempting cafe and plenty of deck space.

Dolphin spotting all year, whales in winter and spectacular coastal scenery are some of the sights you will see. Arriving at Sorrento, you will have a perfect view of multi-million dollar mansions sitting atop cliffs, tiny coves filled with boats, the beautiful foreshore and old limestone buildings. Queenscliff has the Fort, black lighthouse and historic buildings as well as the harbour.

Whether you are going home or on a journey far away, there's no better way to see the bay than with Searoad Ferries.

Passengers with vehicles are advised to arrive at the terminals at least 20 minutes prior to departure.

The ferries depart from Queenscliff Harbour, Queenscliff and the Sorrento Pier, Sorrento every hour on the hour from 7am to 6pm daily.

Both vessels are fully equipped to cater for passengers with disabilities, including an internal lift from the vehicle deck to the passenger lounge.

Queenscliff - Sorrento

Description
Searoad Ferries, Australia's favourite car and passenger ferry service, operates between Queenscliff and Sorrento on the hour between 7am and 6pm seven days of the week, everyday of the year. Two all weather ferries cross Port Phillip Bay 24 times a day, seven days a week. Each vessel carries up to 700 passengers and 75 vehicles. Easy drive on/drive off facilities. The crossing is 40 minutes.

Cancellation and booking policy

Bookings can be made online for foot passengers, cars, trailers, motorhomes, caravans and motorbikes. Coaches need to be booked in advance on (03) 5258 32244.Booking Changes: Tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and date and time changes can be made within this period. Cancellation: If cancellation occurs outside 48 hours, a $10 cancellation fee applies. If within 48 hours, no refund is applicable.

The Queenscliff terminal is located in Wharf Street East in Queenscliff. Follow the signage through the main street of Queenscliff leading to the harbour. Melway ref 236 K5, UBD map 667 F17. Opening hours

MV Sorrento and the MV Queenscliff car and passenger ferries, depart from the Queenscliff Port and the Sorrento Pier every hour on the hour 7am to 6pm, seven days a week all year, in all weather.

Disabled access

Both MV Queenscliff and MV Sorrento are fully equipped with a lift and are roll on roll off. Each ferry has a disabled toilet facility.
