This Historic home was founded in the 1850s by Humphrey Pooley, after striking it rich in the great gold rush. Steeped in history, Koendidda Country House combines the charm and elegance of a historical homestead with modern facilities situated between interesting historic towns such as Chiltern, Beechworth, Yackandandah, Rutherglen, Corowa and Wahgunyah. The area has a rich history of Wine growing, Gold, Bush ranging, and Paddle steamers.

Cancellation and booking policy

A deposit of 30 per cent of total accommodation charge is to be paid to secure a booking. Credit card direct payment. Full payment is due 14 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations and refunds are as follows, the deposit less the cancellation fee is refundable, if cancellation occurs more than 28 days prior to arrival date. If less than 28 days to arrival date the deposit and full payment is refunded only if another guest re-books the dates of your booking. If the dates of the booking are not re-booked then the deposit is retained by Koendidda Country House, however the balance remaining of the full payment will be refunded.

Local directions

Take the Barnawartha exit from the Hume freeway, approx 18km south of Wodonga, travel south away from Barnawartha along the Indigo Valley Road, continue 4km from freeway turn left into Pooleys Rd. Koendidda is 700m from Indigo Valley Rd.
