Ready Cottage is a stunning blend of old and new. The original Ready family homestead has been carefully renovated to retain its old world charm while providing superb accommodation with all modern comforts. The three guest rooms all contain queen size beds, ensuite, TV, heating and cooling.

Built in the late 1890's by Roy Ready, it was the family home for many years. Roy was a local builder, undertaker and served on the local council. The architectural style is late Victorian/Timber Boom and is similar to many houses built around that time in Bendigo.

Located within an easy stroll to Main Street where you can enjoy a meal at one of the top class restaurants or sample the local hospitality at one of the three hotels. Main Steet is home to a wide variety of arts and crafts and antique stores as well as deli's and bakeries.

Rutherglen is ideally positioned between the High Country and the Murray and a short 17 kilometres detour from the Hume Freeway. Only three hours from Melbourne and six hours from Sydney a great place to spend a night or two. There is a diverse range of activities within half to one hours drive.

Cancellation and booking policy

A 50 per cent deposit payable at time of booking. Refundable if seven clear days notice given of cancellation otherwise 10 per cent cancellation charge will apply.

Local directions

From Corowa or Yarrawonga the western side, turn left into High Street at Star Hotel. From Albury or Beechworth the eastern side, turn right into High Street at Star Hotel. Travel approximately 400 metres along High Street and they are on your right opposite Saint Marys School.
