Over the three days of the Queen's birthday long weekend in the Glenrowan Wine Region explore, discover and enjoy regional wines, live music and rustic, warming food during the Trails, Tastings and Tales Food and Wine Festival. There will be wine appreciation and educational sessions with the winemakers to enhance your wine knowledge, muscat blending workshops and art exhibitions by renowned local artists. Enjoy a handcrafted beer from the region's new micro-brewery. A variety of cellar door entertainment for the whole family will be provided for weekend visitors to relax and enjoy a range of interesting attractions happening at each winery.
The Glenrowan Wine Region is famous for its full-bodied red wines including Shiraz, Durif and Merlot, luscious muscats and fortifieds and crisp whites including Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Sauvignon Blanc and Fiano. The festival provides the perfect opportunity to taste the wines of the region, take in the beauty of the landscape while travelling the wine trail, indulge in winter warming lunches inspired by the vine with delicious desserts and steaming coffee to finish off the gourmand experience over the three days of the festival.
The diversity of the Glenrowan Wine Region will be enhanced by the outing of new release wines for the festival to be added to the array of the region's wine bounty.
The Trails, Tastings and Tales festival is family friendly and due to the size of our boutique wineries, operates a no coaches policy during the three days of the June long weekend. Mini buses are welcome at the wineries participating in the festival. Strictly no BYO alcohol to any of the Glenrowan festival venues.
