Join the winemaking families of the King Valley for their annual winter celebration, Weekend Fit for a King over the Queen's Birthday weekend. Indulge in an amazing range of authentic food influenced by the regions distinct Italian culture. Enjoy premium wines, great music, a variety of activities and warm and welcoming King Valley hospitality. Taste artisan wines made from exciting varieties new to Australia including Tannat, Tempranillo, Vermentino and Arneis; and enjoy Italian varieties the King Valley is renowned for including Prosecco, Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio.

To take part, simply purchase a $15 souvenir glass from participating wineries over the event weekend, or at the Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre leading up to the event. Participating wineries are situated throughout the King Valley and include: Boggy Creek Vineyards, Brown Brothers, Chrismont, Ciccone, Dal Zotto, La Cantina, Pizzini, Politini and Sam Miranda.

The weekend also includes the very impressive King Valley Art Show at King Valley Cucina, with all work available for purchase.

If travelling from Melbourne, access is via either the Hume Freeway (exit at Benalla or the Snow Road) or through the Yarra Valley/Mansfield. If travelling south on the Hume Highway from Albury/Wodonga, take either the Wangaratta exit and follow the signs to Milawa and the King Valley or continue along the highway and take the Milawa/King Valley exit.
