This Multicultural Event is about respecting the relationships between different cultures, bringing cultural food, live music and entertainment to the local community. The sharing of cultural originated stories and performances including special guest appearances from respected Yorta Yorta and Bangerang Aboriginal Elder Uncle "Wally" Cooper, respected Yuin and Monaro Aboriginal Elder Ossie Cruse, Native American Indian Singer Dancer and Storyteller Aurelio "Yellowbird" Denasha of the Ojibwe Nation, Teacher and Ambassador "Landing Hawk" of the Squamish Nation, and many more.

People are encouraged to bring their own picnic or buy one of the many multicultural foods available.

Activities included will involve story telling, face and body painting, the showing of Minature Horses, the making of Traditional Native Arts and Crafts which has been passed down through generation to generation. There will also be video screenings of Post War Migrants telling of their accounts arriving into Australia.

This event aims on welcoming the wider community, getting families together and involved in sharing in the diversity of "traditional" and new multicultural ways. With the promotion of what Harmony Day is, and what it is all about.

In addition, Teacher Landing Hawk and his wife Mrs Lady Hawk will be setting up their Tipi in the gardens in offer of anyone interested in participating in making your own Deer Rawhide Drum. He will be holding a workshop on the day, all materials provided. Proceeds of this workshop will go towards Natalie Vanderwal, volunteer on the steering committee for NEMA as she continues to raise money for Save the Children South Sudan Emergency Appeal. Bookings and deposit are essential.

This is an alcohol free, family event.
