When walking into Dal Zotto Wine's, the weatherboard cellar door is light-filled and cosy. Visitors are engaged with wine tastings, plenty of family anecdotes, and even a game of bocce, with a glass of Prosecco in hand of course. The tasting experience can also be heightened with a rustic Italian meal at the Dal Zotto Trattoria, affectionately known as the 'Tratt'. At this regional restaurant tradition rules, with fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit and berries grown lovingly on-site featured as hero ingredients in every dish.Visitors to Dal Zotto can also experience a number of events at the winery such as Primavera del Prosecco in November, Hedonistic Hiking tours with the Dal Zotto's through the King Valley, and Vino Pasta e Basta on the June long weekend. From simple antipasto combinations to delicious gnocchi dishes and handmade pasta, family matriarch 'Nonna Elena' works overtime in the property's garden to produce the freshest ingredients for the kitchen. Dal Zotto Estate is located two and a half hours from Melbourne. Down the Hume Highway and turn off at Snow Road (just passed McDonalds). Then turn right into Whitfield, Wangaratta Road. This will take you all the way into Whitfield (approximately 35 kilometres).
Or travel to Mansfield (via Yarra Valley) and come down the mountain. turn left at the Whitfield Pub and Dal Zotto Estate is on the right hand side (approximately one kilometre form Pub). Please call for directions if you get lost.
