Booth's Taminick Cellars is one of the family-owned wineries that make Australia's wine story so fascinating. The old granite winery occupies an isolated slope in the shadow of the forests and inclines of the timeless Warby ranges.

Taminick Cellars has been owned by the Booth family since the beginning of last century. Esca Bruerton Booth began the tradition when he purchased Taminick Vineyards in 1904.

Wine lovers can enjoy tastings in the century old cellar which is lined with a selection of the original cavernous barrels. There are full flavoured red wines such as Shiraz, Durif and Cabernet Sauvignon with some estate vines dating back to 1919. The Italian varietal Nero d'Avola was planted in 2008 and is a welcomed addition to the red wine list. Luscious Muscat, Ports, refreshing whites and Rose are also produced.

Visitors can try a handcrafted beer from the on site brewery. Black Dog Brewery produces four preservative-free beers in the core range with limited release specialty beers also brewed.

Accommodation is also available in the winery's self-contained cottage.

Winery functions are held during the year.

The Hop versus Grape dinner in May sees five courses matched to beer and wine produced on premise to sway the diners' preference.

October's Master and Apprentice dinner celebrates over a hundred years of family winemaking at Taminick with the menu paired with new releases, current wines and older vintages from the family cellar.

Enjoy yourself at Glenrowan's Trails, Tastings and Tales Food and Wine Festival held on Queen's Birthday weekend in June. Indulge in delicious warming food and premium regional wines with a range of family entertainment to fill your weekend program.

Be part of the Glenrowan Winemakers Weekend in October which includes Saturday's Gourmet Getabout dinner, the Winemakers' breakfast and Sunday's Glenrowan Grazing at the cellar doors.
