Absolute Outdoors Australia provide a great introduction to Abseiling. They start the day with a warm up abseil on a small section of cliff before moving to the larger Abseil.

This tour is designed for those wanting to try something new or refine their abseiling skills in a beautiful setting. It is great fun for everyone involved in the magical area of Mount Buffalo. All tours start from Mount Buffalo Gorge car park.

Closed toe shoes (no flip-flops or sandals), snacks, hat, sunscreen and water. They will provide all the safety equipment. Please bring cash as there are no EFTPOS facilities.

Please inform booking agent if participants have any special needs or have any medical conditions that could influence the tour. Maximum of eight people.

Cancellation and booking policy

Absolute Outdoors Australia understands that problems can arise and in many cases they occur without notice and exactly when you do not want them too! They ask that you let them know as soon as possible so they can arrange a different time or location for your planned session. They require you let them know of your cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the start of your session. Failing to let them know of your cancellation or cancellation within 24 hours of your session will result in the loss of 100 per cent of all your monies paid. So please let them know as soon as possible if you can not make your session. That way others will not miss out on a wonderful experience! Unfortunately they cannot control the weather and Mother Nature can often have other ideas than the perfect weather for their planned outing. If they need to cancel a session due to the weather they will first try and arrange another time or location for your experience. However if this is not an option a 100 per cent refund will be made on the purchase price.

Absolute Outdoors Australia has recently added another division to its ever expanding outdoor experiences. The Alpine division has opened up in the town of Porepunkah located in Victorian Alps region.

Since 1989 Absolute Outdoors Australia has been providing quality outdoor experiences to people and various groups from all over the world. The wonderful picturesque regions in which Absolute Outdoors Australia operate provide the perfect locations for a wide range of unique multi-award winning ecologically sustainable outdoor activities.

The focus of the alpine division is to continue to deliver high quality adventure based services to those visiting the region. With the addition of a new location brings with it new activities to add to the already expanding repertoire that Absolute Outdoors Australia has delivered in a safe and exciting way for over 20 years. The activities that are being conducted in the Alpine area are:

White Water Kayaking (inflatable); great fun for all involved. Absolute Outdoors Australia travel through the two gorge sections of Ovens River encountering grade two or more rapids. This tour is two to three hours.

White Water Kayaking (hard shell boats). For those that require more of a challenge and would like to develop their skills as a kayaker. three quarters of a day trip that utilises a grade one section of the Ovens River. Includes a one hour lesson to prepare the clients for an exciting afternoon river trip.

Rock Climbing and Abseiling; from beginner to advanced climbing. Single Pitch to Multi-pitch adventures.

All can be accommodated, they have mountain bike hire and flat water canoeing; paddle the pristine Lakes.

All activities are facilitated by highly trained and fully qualified guides, who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering high quality activities ensures all participants will have the opportunity to safely discover unique environments.
