Forge's Farm offer authentic packhorse trips, cattle mustering, trail rides and cattle droving experiences in Victoria's King Valley including the sub alpine areas of the Rose River. You may have heard of the Man from Snowy River, well now you can ride with the Man from Rose River.
The King Valley is renowned for its untouched beauty, its clear mountain streams and valleys. Riding on horseback surrounded by rolling hills and mountains, star gazing with the trickle of the valley's streams running by and the slight cooling breeze rustling the gum trees - it is a way to enjoy nature at a new pace. Traversing the valley on horseback allows you to see, feel and experience so much more. Soaking up the view is just one part of the experience.
A working farm and family, each experience is unique and authentic. You will be riding with the family, learning tales of region as you ride the hidden bridle trails checking, moving and mustering cattle.
An authentic cattle property - checking, marking and mustering cattle is almost a daily occurrence for the family. Why go on a standard trail ride when you can join this local family on their working property whilst getting back to nature, breathing the fresh mountain air and going on a riding experience like no other?
With such rich heritage and intimate knowledge of the valley, the Forges' are passionate about the region and guests soon feel like they too are part of the Forge Family.
Featuring experienced guides with horses to suit all riders or you may bring your own horse. Rides are available all year by appointment. An authentic experience. Not your average staged trail ride.
