Nothing works up a thirst quite like an Antarctic adventure deep in the heart of Melbourne. Enjoy a drink surrounded by more than 50 tonnes of carved ice. Everything within the Ice Lounge is made of ice - the walls, chairs and even the glass you drink from!
State-of-the-art lighting set the tone and exquisitely carved ice sculptures provide the cool décor, all while you are wrapped snug as a bug in a rug in ski jackets, gloves and woollen boots provided by the ice lounge. The Ice Lounge is a stunning experience that truly turns any visit from memorable into unforgettable.
Stunning arctic-themed cocktails and fruity drink are served in glasses made entirely from ice, while you enjoy cool music and warm service in an environment that is truly unique.
Guests are provided with ski jackets, gloves and woollen boots so they are kept warm and comfortable within Melbourne's coolest space.

Local directions
Located within the Southgate Complex on the banks of the Yarra River, directly opposite Flinders Street Station and adjacent to Melbourne’s Hamer Hall and the Art Centre. From Flinders Street Station head over the Southgate Pedestrian Bridge at the bottom if you look up to the mid-level you will see signage, above Pure South which is on the corner. Ground floor entry is next to Pure South just before you enter Southgate Shopping Centre. Internal entry is up the escalators or lifts within Southgate.
If you are driving take City Road and enter Southgate’s car park.
