Journey with Melbourne Hosted Tours on the Puffing Billy - Australia's famous steam train and one of the finest preserved steam train in the world. Chuff along the narrow-gauge track through the Dandenong Ranges National Park featuring 100-meter tall mountain ash forest and fern gullies. Dangle your feet outside of the open carriages and experience the sights, smells and sounds of the bush as the Puffing Bill trundles across trestle bridges and toils up hills.

Be amazed at the 100-metre tall five-hundred year old mountain ash trees and fern gullies of Sherbrooke Forest, the habitat for the superb lyrebird, ring-tailed and brush-tailed possums.

The journey continues to provide panoramic views over farmlands, Port Phillip Bay and Cardinia Reservoir.

Stop at Fergusson's Winery & Restaurant situated in the lush Yarra Valley wine-district. Here you will taste some stunning local wines, and enjoy a sumptuous beef spit-roast lunch with a glass of wine, assorted vegetables and salads, petit fours, tea/percolated coffee.

After lunch, you will enjoy an informative ranger-guided tour of the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary where you can view close-up 200 species of native wildlife and Australia's most unusual animals (koalas, kangaroos, wombats, platypus and many others), birds and reptiles.
