During the 1850's the Victorian Gold Rush placed Bendigo on the map, creating what is now an important historical and cultural centre.
Bendigo Art Gallery is one of Australia's oldest and largest regional art galleries. The collections include Australian Art from the 1850's to the present day-including a comprehensive and unique collection of modern and contemporary artworks.
Here you will join a Curator for an introduction to their current international exhibition and highly regarded permanent collections of 19th century international collection and 19th century Australian art including a major collection of paintings by Louis Buvelot, Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton and Frederick McCubbin.
An outstanding modern and contemporary collection that showcases the development of Australian Modern art as well as leading contemporary Australian artists.

All aboard at Southern Cross Station for comfortable regional train travel through picturesque Central and Eastern Victorian landscape, alluvial plains and historic 19th Century towns, Kyneton, Macedon, Maldon, and Castlemaine.
The Artwalk journey is approximately two hours in duration with a 20 minute walk to the gallery.

Cancellation and booking policy
Booking are essential. All ARTWALKS are based on a minimum number of participants and if this minimum is not reached alternative arrangements can be made or you will be fully refunded. As a matter of consideration to all please inform ARTWALK of a cancellation a minimum of five days prior to scheduled walk. Cancellations within 5 days will not be refunded except under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Artwalk Melbourne management, please note, an administrative fee of $5.00 is applicable.For those traveling interstate or from overseas we highly recommend Travel Insurance that includes trip cancellation provision in the event of non- attendance to a paid Artwalk.
