Experience a month-long program of light art, events, forums and free performances by Melbourne's diverse cultural communities. This year the power of the voice and the helix as the symbol of life resonate through the program.

Renowned light artist, Bruce Ramus is creating the Helix Tree in the centre of Fed Square. A 13m high steel and light structure representing life itself, the Helix Tree will be activated each night at dusk by the voices of Melbourne.

The festival includes offerings from Melbourne's Indigenous and multicultural communities; forums about science and democracy and a new project exploring the common voice of diverse groups along with the celebration of the Winter Solstice on 22 June.
