Bring your torch and a sense of adventure to Wild Nights at Werribee Open Range Zoo!

These winter school holidays, explore the Zoo as it comes to life after dark with thrilling fire shows, animal encounters, marshmallow toasting, the shadow puppet theatre and a secret garden to explore.

Your wild evening of adventure kicks off from 5:30pm when you can walk around the Pula Reserve and spot lions, wild dogs and cheetah on the prowl and hippos wallowing in the deep ponds or enjoying a late night feed.

You can get close to some of Australia's fascinating nocturnal creatures at Bandicoot Hideout - a new exhibit that's home to the eastern barred bandicoot, squirrel gliders, growling grass frogs and the tawny frog mouth.

Warm up in the Meerkat Bistro with the special winter menu. Then head back outside to toast marshmallows around the campfire, let your kids light up in the night in the interactive Glow Zone featuring special glow in the dark activities and watch the nightly fire shows.

The serval under the stars presentation will have you in awe as you watch the amazing African cats leap, hunt and climb before your very eyes. With only two presentations a night, and a limited capacity at each show, make sure you express your interest in seeing the show at Admissions - seats are limited and will fill quickly.

The new indoor play space, Ranger Kids, will provide a comfy spot for parents and big kids to relax while the little ones transform themselves into vets and rangers, caring for plush animals in the medic tent and testing out the wooden helicopter.

Wild Nights is running for a limited time these winter school holidays, for 15 nights only from 28 June to 12 July. Admission fees apply.
