Environmental Film Festival Melbourne
Dates: 4 - 12 September 2014
Address: Kino Cinema, 45 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria 3000
The Environmental Film Festival Melbourne began in 2010 with a vision to inform, engage and inspire on the environmental issues that affect us today and has since grown into one of Melbourne's most notable 'green' events.
Showcasing a dynamic range of the best environmental films from Australia and around the world and drawing large crowds from all over Victoria, Environmental Film Festival Melbourne has stitched its way into the colourful tapestry of Melbourne's arts and cultural life.
A not-for-profit event, Environmental Film Festival Melbourne is run by a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers. Our team brings together a wide variety of experience to curate a bigger and better festival each year, in a creative and exciting environment.
In its fifth year, Environmental Film Festival Melbourne remains dedicated to advancing the knowledge and understanding of environmental issues. Over nine days, the festival uses the power of film, music and debate to unite filmmakers, environmentalists, politicians, scientists, experts, and the broader public in their desire to actively engage in issues that affect all of our futures.
From exquisitely shot documentary features and spellbinding short narratives, to thought-provoking expert panel discussions and conversations with filmmakers, our program engages people from all walks of life. With strong partnerships and the support of people and organisations that share our values, Environmental Film Festival Melbourne continues to challenge the way people think about the natural world.
Program details to be released closer to the date.
