The Sea Shepherd's ships M/Y Steve Irwin, M/Y Bob Barker and M/Y Sam Simon are in Williamstown, Melbourne!
Whilst in Williamstown the ships will be offering free ship tours on every weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 12nn to 4:30pm. We are welcoming the people of and visitors to Melbourne to visit the ships, to meet the crew and to hear their stories on what it is like to stand up against the world's most notorious marine poachers.
The organisation is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation and are in preparation for their 10th Whale defence campaign in Antarctica.
Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
Sea Shepherd Australia uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems, Sea Shepherd Australia works to ensure their survival for future generations.
