The 12th Annual Thai Culture and Food Festival returns to Melbourne in 2015 focusing on families, fun and food. Come join Melbourne's Thai community to celebrate the Festivals auspicious first cycle birthday by showcasing rich and historical culture with a day of fun filled with the sights, tastes and sounds of Thailand.The River Terrace at Federation Square will bedecked with food tents featuring 20 of Melbourne's premier Thai restaurants serving Thai delicacies and highlighting regional food and drink specialities, live acoustic music at the Singha Beer Garden, and cooking demonstrations from celebrity chef Duncan Robertson of Duncan's Thai Kitchen.In Federation Square the festival will begin with a traditional blessing by Buddhist monks, and an opening ceremony. Federation Square will be transformed into a haven of Thai culture together with the Thai Temple Fun Fair and Thai Village showcasing Thai arts, crafts, massage, games, product stalls selling Thai produce. Travel and general Information about Thailand and its people will be available to answer all your questions. There will be continuous entertainment on the main stage with performances of Thai dance, Performers direct from Thailand plus local talent, Thai kickboxing and more.Deakin Edge will again host the ever popular demonstrations of Muay Thai kickboxing.Last year the free Festival attracted over 56,000 people, so don't miss out. .
