Selby and Friends is delighted to welcome the great Swedish cellist Torleif Thedeen, in recital for this program that features the music of Beethoven, Debussy and Grieg with a world premiere work by Australian Paul Dean.

Considered one of the most brilliant cellists of his generation and a prodigious chamber musician, soloist and mentor, Torleif is a regular collaborator with some of the world's great artists and conductors including Esa-Pekka Salonen and Neeme Järvi. He is also in huge demand as a soloist and chamber musician, working with many of the great performers of our age and constantly invited to perform at festivals around the globe. Torleif is Professor of Cello in both Copenhagen and Stockholm.

Old friends who are excited to have their first opportunity to work together in over 20 years, he is joined by brilliant pianist and artistic director, Kathryn Selby. Don't miss this rare chance to hear one of the great artists of our time in recital.
