The Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival will attract runners from across the globe to take part in Australia’s largest marathon on Sunday, 14 October 2018. Over 30,000 participants will hit the streets of Melbourne, running past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks before finishing with a lap of the renowned MCG. The course weaves past Flinders Street Station, the Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake for a truly unique way to experience Melbourne. The festival offers five distances to cater for people of all ages and athletic ability. There is the full Medibank Melbourne Marathon (42.195 kilometres) and Half Marathon (21.1km) as well as three shorter distances - the ASICS 10 kilometre run, 5.7 kilometre run and 3 kilometre walk. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for premier charity partner CPEC or associate charities Cathy Freeman Foundation, Australian Red Cross, The Heart Foundation and JMB Foundation.Registrations are now open.For more information and to register, visit the Melbourne Marathon website.
