With Melbourne Birding Tours, experience the Great Ocean Road Birdwatching Tour, which takes place in one of the most scenic locations on earth.
The focus of this tour is the bird life, however you will be awe-struck at every turn by the rugged coastlines, pristine forests and the natural biodiversity of the region.
As you slowly make your way toward Cape Otway; the southernmost point of the Australian mainland, you will have the opportunity to stop along the way and search for some of the special birds that are found here; attempting to see the Southern Emu Wren, Gang Gang Cockatoo, the impressive Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo and the much sought after Rufous Bristlebird.
You will be given the best chance to see these species and more as you explore several different habitats on your way west to the award-winning Great Ocean Eco-Lodge.
Along the way you will see the birds, some mammals and learn about the area's history.
A 7am pick up, travelling down the Great Ocean Road to Cape Otway. Staying the night at the award winning Great Ocean Ecolodge.
You will drive back the next day at a leisurely pace, birding all the way!
