Auswalk Walking Holidays takes you to the Grampians National Park which is very large at 167,000 hectares in area.

It is made up of sandstone which was once seabed, and eroded into several separate mountain ranges.

This area was hugely valuable for the Aboriginal people who lived here for 20,000 years before western people.

Everywhere you look in the Grampians you will see cliffs and forest and is one of the best places to see Australian animals. There are flowers all year except for autumn. Even though the area receives a low rainfall of about 70 centimetres per year, stream beds, waterfalls and caves have been carved into the ranges.

An oasis on the Wimmera Plains, the Grampians offers spectacular walking and is a haven for native wildlife such as colourful birds, koalas, kangaroos, emus and reptiles. Extravagant springtime wildflower displays are a bonus. The selection of walks will also guide you to Aboriginal rock art sites and shelters. This holiday is for nature-lovers who enjoy remote, rugged places. Join Auswalk Walking Holidays today.
