Jetstar operates from both Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and Avalon Airport. Services to and from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide operate from Avalon, whilst all other domestic services to Cairns, Gold Coast, Hamilton Island, Hobart, Launceston, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Townsville, Darwin and Ballina Byron operate from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine). Services to Christchurch in New Zealand operate from Melbourne Airport's international terminal.
At Melbourne Airport, Jetstar is located at the end of the Qantas Domestic Terminal. To get to Avalon Airport, follow the freeway signs which will direct you to the airport and the Jetstar terminal.
Jetstar operates a fleet of 24 Airbus A320 on all domestic and trans Tasman services. Airbus A320s feature 177 all leather seats configured in a single class. Seats are allocated either at the time of purchase, online or via the reservation centre, or at the check-in.
On board, meal, snack and beverages (including alcohol) are available for purchase through the JetShop Cafe service.
On services two hours or more, passengers are available to hire portable Video on Demand units that feature ten movies, television programs and music videos. Alternatively passengers can purchase re-usable headsets for in-cabin audio entertainment or read the complimentary monthly in-flight magazine.
Jetstar operates value based international services to Bali, Bangkok and Honolulu from Melbourne. Jetstar passengers to Ho Chi Minh City, Osaka and Phuket from Sydney can purchase through fares with Qantas offering connectivity.
All long haul flights are operated by A330-200s, configured for 303 passengers in two classes - economy and StarClass, Jetstar's business class. In economy passengers purchase meals, entertainment and amenities - these are included in StarClass along with larger seats and leg room, lounge access and priority boarding / check-in.
