The Melbourne Greeter Service is a free, two to four hour walking orientation of the city for visitors to Melbourne, conducted by a volunteer.
Orientations in English depart from the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square daily at 9:30am (excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day).
Orientations are conducted in languages including French, German, Greek and Spanish. Others are available on request. Groups of up to four people can be accommodated and bookings are recommended.
The service is one of the many ways the City of Melbourne welcomes people from around the world and across the nation to one of Australia's most multicultural cities.
The Greeters are enthusiastic, trained volunteers who are keen to share their local knowledge of Melbourne. So why not join a local for this opportunity to explore Melbourne city by tram, bus or on foot?
