The Avoca-on-Darling Cottage is part of a Heritage Homestead complex. It provides a destination or stop-over near the historic Darling River which offers an Australian outback experience.

Built in 1870's of pine logs, the cosy sitting room has a wood fire whilst the adjoining main bedroom has a ceiling fan and all beds are new and comfortable. The Darling River is just around the front of the Homestead.

Extensive gardens of jacaranda and peppercorn trees surround the homestead beyond which stand original out-buildings, fruit and vegetable garden and modern mod-grass tennis court.

The Cottage's position on the river is perfect for outdoor barbecues and the pizza oven is popular.

Thanks to the lock at Wentworth just below the Murray-Darling junction, there is a constant water supply for 'Avoca' residents and gardens, even during periods of drought.

Add to this over one kilometre of of river frontage lined with healthy old red gums and young saplings, and you will experience a relaxing, peaceful and unique ambience.
