Avoca-on-Darling Homestead is a heritage homestead destination offering Australian outback experiences including all meals and accommodation on the historic Darling River near Wentworth and the Murray Darling Junction.

Built in 1870's of stone and pine logs the large rooms and high ceilings are characteristic of the period. Wood fires burn brightly during winter and in summer the wide verandas provide shade and beautiful views across the lawns sloping down to the river.

Extensive gardens of jacaranda and peppercorn trees surround the homestead beyond which stand original out-buildings, fruit and vegetable garden and modern mod-grass tennis court.

Thanks to the loch at Wentworth just below the Murray-Darling junction, there is a constant water supply for Avoca residents and gardens, even during periods of drought.

Add over one kilometre of river frontage lined with healthy old river red gums, young saplings and a large variety of bird life, and you will have discovered a stress-free environment inviting you to let go and relax.
