With the support of our sponsors, Arts Mildura is proud to present the 2013 Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival, another year of exciting events with a diverse range of arts activity for the whole community. There are a number of changes in the structure of this years program, including a Mardi Gras Parade by foot on Saturday 2nd March. Walk and talk the short distance from the lawns of Mildura Arts Centre in Cureton Avenue to Nowingi Place for the iconic community River Party. This event is Mildura's largest free community event, and we encourage all to come together and enjoy this spectacular celebration, with Saskwatch, The Lisa Miller Band and The Birds and The Boys providing great music in a great location. See the event program for details.
This years program is jam packed with options to participate in cultural activities including Wenty Day on Saturday 9th March, at the showgrounds, Wharf Lawns and streets of Wentworth. This program of events in the historic town of Wentworth is both a celebration for locals and an attraction for visitors. You may want to read Banjo Paterson's famous verse, 'The Geebung Polo Club' before making your way to the Wentworth showgrounds to experience the excitement generated by the extraordinary sport of Polo. Bring the whole family and enjoy live music in the bush atmosphere of the Wentworth Showground on Wenty Day. After an afternoon of Polo action, head into town and find yourself a position on the Wharf Lawns for a night of Music by the river. See the Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival Program for details of the numerous other events on offer during the 2013 Mildura Wentworth Arts Festival.
