The Art Vault is a mecca for artists and art lovers from around Australia and overseas. Situated on the edge of Australia's dramatic outback, the Art Vault is an inspirational destination for artists working in a variety of mediums.

It has been six years since the Art Vault opened its doors in Mildura. Julie and Kevin Chambers have transformed an art deco bank building into a world class art facility in busy Deakin Avenue, close to the river and Mildura's famous eateries. Art collectors can browse and select art by local, national, international and indigenous artists in three gallery spaces and the two historic bank vaults.

The Art Vault also houses two architect-designed apartments for artists-in-residence who come to work in the light-filled studio spaces and print in the fully equipped etching and lithography studios.

A residency at the Art Vault provides artists with the opportunity to focus on work in a supportive and friendly environment. They find the uninterrupted time productive and rewarding and many return again and again to gather inspiration from the desert landscape and famous Mungo and Hattah/Kulkyne national parks. Many visiting artists also hold workshops during their residencies.

Art collectors and visitors to the Art Vault have the opportunity to meet and interact with the artists-in-residence and to see them at work in the print studios. The gallery also sells a range of quality hand-crafted gifts by artists from Australia and overseas.

This year the Art Vault will launch the inaugural Mildura Print Triennial in November. The triennial will include a major print prize, talks by overseas and national artists, workshops for artists and the community and a Print Triennial dinner.
