The heart of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges can be your secret getaway, your base for exploring the many sights, attractions and bush tracks leading into the Doongalla Forest from the Penthouse Gardens. Be prepared to see kangaroos, wallabies and even deer passing through the property early in the mornings and evenings.

Among the many unique features of the property is an 18th century Geisha hut assembled over the spa bath in the Camelot Tower and a magnificent French Bed, one of the finest hand-sculptured beds in Australia, making it a unique feature in the Sandstone Cottage.

The Penthouse features a wide custom-built spiral staircase built around a tree. Within a 45 minute drive from Melbourne city centre and easily accessed via public transport.

The many restaurants including SkyHigh and craft shops of Olinda are only an eight minute walk away and only a further ten minutes to the National Rhododendron Gardens, the challenging Olinda Golf Course and the RJ Hamer Arboretum, take a picnic basket and enjoy the view.

Penthouse Suite

The Penthouse is a two storey craftsman built, fully self-contained accommodation, featured with a large spiral staircase that is built around a tree with bathroom and dining room in each level, the entire upstairs section is built out of Indian teak timber panelling with expose timber beams plus two large dormer windows that gives you the feel of like you are inside a ship's gully for nautical is the theme in the Penthouse. Will offer spectacular views of the Port Phillip Bay. With a queen size bed and oval full length king size spa bath, double car garage for your privacy and security.1

Sandstone Cottage

The Sandstone Cottage is a single level open space living featured with that magnificent French four post bed with a canopy up above all hand cut sandstone walls inside out, with an oval full length king size spa bath. Fully self-contained, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and outside glass roof rotunda.1

Garden Suite

The Garden Suite offers practical accommodation and has proven to be popular as an overnight stay and for family groups. It can sleeps six if required. The main bedroom with a queen size bed has its own full en-suite plus large wardrobes. It has views of Doongalla forest and Melbourne city lights. If required a second bedroom with a queen size bed is available at an additional cost. This bedroom is slightly smaller but has the same views and a large bathroom. a further sofa bedroom is available at an extra cost. The sitting room has television, DVD player heating and a very comfortable sofa bed. It also contains a kitchenette with a bar fridge and pantry overlooking the garden. Laundry facilities are available.3

Camelot Tower

The Camelot Tower is a magnificent craftsman built, fully self-contained accommodation. Recognised by the Australian Institute of Building for a Professional Excellence in Building Award in 2005. The outside round tower is featured with a La Mensarde bell cast roof with a crucible helmet on top and hand cut sandstone walls. The inside walls are finished in 17th century French panelling. The lounge area, windows and balcony with command views of the forest and the Port Phillip Bay. Your oval spa bath enclosed and built in a "geisha hut" design the roof and doors are finished in gold gilt. Large digital television, DVD player and gas log fire.1

Climbing up the hill, drive along Mt Dandenong Tourist Road, past Cuckoo Restaurant and Mt Dandenong Hotel (both at the right hand side), opposite the hotel is Ridge Road, turn left into Ridge Road past three shops, three houses turn left into Sunset Avenue 9 on a large rock.
