Sassafras, where Clarendon Cottages are located, is almost 2000 feet above sea level in Victoria's magnificent Dandenong Ranges and is only 45 minutes by car from the city of Melbourne and just 30 minutes from the internationally renowned wineries of the beautiful Yarra Valley.
The enchanted grounds of Clarendon are reached from Clarkmont Road, the dress circle of Sassafras, a truly delightful setting, tucked quietly away off the main Mount Dandenong Tourist Road.
Clarendon's boutique guest accommodation consists of three charming cottages in a secluded, peaceful and romantic setting. Two acres of English country gardens and meadow nestle amongst a huge variety of beautiful century old trees. The cottages are within easy walking distance of Sassafras Village and Sherbrooke Forest.
Three cosy one and two bedroom cottages each with it's own individual charm are located separately on the two acre property. Log fires, spas, fully equipped kitchens, air conditioning and private decks with barbecue facilities are some of the many features.
Gourmet breakfast provisions are provided each morning and picnic hampers or dinners can be arranged.
Country tranquillity gives you a peaceful and relaxed sleep, awakening to the sound of the kookaburras.
The Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges region is a truly great escape, an unbeatable combination of fantastic food and wine, breathtaking scenery, romantic hideaways and easy adventure.

Camellia Cottage | Camellia Cottage is a cosy one bedroom cottage, self-contained and completely private. It has an open log fire adjacent to the queen size sleigh bed, central heating, bathroom with spa bath, fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge and oven, dining area overlooking the garden and private external deck.

Dovecote Cottage | Dovecote Cottage is a beautiful two-storey 'petite suite' that can sleep two guests. The ground floor lounge/dining area overlooks a pretty rose garden. The upstairs double bedroom, with windows on three sides, sits cosily amongst the trees.
The bedroom and bathroom are reached by Dovecote's private internal staircase. The bathroom is quite large with a bath but no spa. Downstairs there is a small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc but no kitchen in this suite.
The cottage comes with a DVD and CD player and large screen LCD television.
Reverse cycle air conditioner. Tariff includes the provisions for a continental breakfast.

Cancellation and booking policy
A 50 per cent deposit is required to confirm your booking. The booking deposit is refundable if cancellation is more than 14 days before check in date. A cancellation fee of $50 is charged. Less than 14 days prior, deposit is only refunded, less the cancellation fee, if the cottage is re-booked by another party. Bookings can be transferred to another date if arranged 14 days prior to stay. Failure to arrive, the deposit is forfeited and the remainder of the balance is payable.
