The 2016 Marysville Lake Mountain Challenge will offer two course options, both of which provide participants with the opportunity to tackle the gruelling Lake Mountain climb providing the perfect course for cyclists of all abilities.There is a short course option of 35 kilometres with the option to add the 40 kilometre Lake Mountain climb to push your limits.Those looking for the ultimate challenge can tackle the 120 Kilometre Long Course with the option to add the Lake Mountain climb to make a 160 kilometre course. Both courses feature a combination of flat sections, rolling hills and challenging climbs perfectly designed to provide you with the chance to really test yourself. The ride passes through Buxton, Taggerty, Alexandra, Eildon, Thornton, Narbethong and Marysville. Many of these towns were badly affected by the tragic Black Saturday bush-fires. The event will provide many local community groups with a much needed opportunity to raise funds to support their recovery projects.
