After your guided tour you're welcome to browse the grounds and extensive museum collection at your leisureThe Pioneer 1880s homestead is furnished with items from homes of descendants of pioneer Families. Explore the slab hut kitchen which contains many household items of the era, plus the properties Blacksmiths, wood-turning and vintage machinery displays.The Homestead's beautiful gardens are set in lawns graced by beautiful trees including a magnificent spreading oak. Whether it be the rich rustic colours of autumn or come spring its blossom time, the white and pink of the flowering cherries and the purple of the lilacs make a stunning settingIn the Museum take a set back in time to appreciate the family, working and social life of the pioneer families displayed in a comprehensive collection of photographs and artefactsThe properties Giftshop carries a fantastic array of quality products which include homemade pickles and jams and also carry a large range of hand knitted articles.The Homestead's Art Gallery contains a wide range of artworks ranging from Contemporary to Modern including works by artist from the Yarra Valley. Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead is located at 71 Wellington Road, Wandin North, approximately an hour's drive from the centre of Melbourne.
Mont de Lancey is closed Monday and Tuesday, however group bookings on these days may be arranged.
