Take a deep dive into Indigenous flavours and native ingredients at some of Melbourne and Victoria's finest restaurants.

Acclaimed social enterprise restaurant Charcoal Lane in Fitzroy is taking bookings for dinner from Monday to Friday, while retaining its now-popular takeaway pickup options. Sit down to a plate of chargrilled kangaroo chorizo spaghetti, stir-fried wallaby, or perhaps some lemon myrtle saganaki sliders.

Yarraville's Mabu Mabu is open Thursday to Saturday for breakfast and lunch, and will also keep its pick-up and local delivery Mabu Mabu Tuck Shop open for dinner options. Sample kangaroo tail bourguignon, or stock up on pantry items, such as organic bush tomato sauce and strawberry gum spice.

On the Mornington Peninsula, Rosebud's Cooee Cafe keeps the flavour coming with open doors and take away coffee, burgers, salads and sweet options. Nestle into autumn with contemporary classics pepped up with Indigenous flavours. Fancy a little Davidson plum and finger lime in your healthy shake? Or warm up with bush tomato soup and crocodile curry.

The cafes at GLaWAC and Narana Aboriginal cultural centres are also now open for business, with the Brambuk café to reopen soon.
