Take a stroll out to the back of the famous Malmsbury Botanic Gardens and see the impressive outline of the Malmsbury Viaduct stretching across the Coliban River. Spanning 100 metres in length and standing 25 metres above the river, the viaduct was the largest railway bridge in Victoria and was one of the largest engineering structures commissioned in the state at the time. The heritage-listed bluestone bridge was built between 1858 and 1861, and the construction remains a prime example of nineteenth century building techniques.Content: Visit Victoria
