Point Hicks Lightstation Walk

Croajingolong National Park, Point Hicks Road, Tamboon, Victoria, 3890

The secluded and pristine Croajingolong National Park follows the wild coastline from the state border to Bemm River. Journey through history to the lighthouse on Point Hicks, the granite headland that was Captain James Cook's first sight of the Australian mainland in April 1770.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Grade: Level 2 – No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10km.
Start: Point Hicks Lightstation car park
Finish: Point Hicks Lightstation car park
Getting there: From Cann River, follow the signs to Croajingolong National Park and then to Thurra River. The walk commences 3km past the Thurra Campground at the Lightstation Reserve gate.
