Welcome to the Merrijig Inn, a special place in Port Fairy.
The oldest Inn in Victoria, Merrijig Inn is located in the heart of Port Fairy's historic village.
The Merrijig Inn offers traditional bed and breakfast style accommodation with a very big serving of homely comforts.
The restaurant, the Merrijig Kitchen offers a daily written menu of seasonal fare, sourced, where possible from the south-west countryside. A well crafted wine list features local, regional and international winemakers who craft their wines using biodynamic and organic practices.
Breakfast is very important, with a smorgasbord of home-made fruits and preserves, sourdough bread and the cooked breakfast of the day using free-range eggs and local bacon. Of course, great coffee is guaranteed.
The guest lounge always has an open fire during the cooler months, and the chickens welcome you into the extensive kitchen garden. The communal spaces offer lots of opportunity to relax and unwind after that stroll through the village or on one of the beautiful beaches.
Attic Rooms = $150 with breakfast or $120 without. Queen Suites = $190 with breakfast or $160 without King Suite = $240 with breakfast or $210 without.
The King Suite offers loads of space, with very comfy king bed, it has it's own full-size lounge and spacious bathroom with bath. A private entrance allows a bit more privacy, with WIFI booster in the king suite for your convenience. A television, magazines and a bit of a tipple makes things very cosy.
Located in the house adjoining the Inn, there are three queen suites which are spacious with own sitting lounge rooms, flat screen television, iPod dock and bathroom. Each has its own character with different views overlooking either the front or back garden or across to the Moyne River.
Located upstairs in the historic part of our Inn, the Attic Rooms are really quite unique. They are very cosy with double/twin beds and an ensuite. Sleep in antique wrought iron beds often to the sound of the wind in the Norfolk Pines. Little dorma windows give you lovely views across to the Moyne River and wharf area.
