Garden Cottage is located in the foothills of the Australian Alps in the small township of Stanley, just ten minutes drive from Beechworth.
This one bedroom cottage is beautifully appointed, fully self-contained and great for one or perfect for a couple. We find that many guests return for the comfort of the cottage but also because of its location.
Quiet, content and sustainable right down to the last morsel of compost, drop of tank water and glimmer of solar power and all set within an established woodland garden.
The garden was part of the Australia's Open Garden Scheme in 2012 and complements the commercial, organically certified chestnut orchard on the property.
A swimming pool is available to guests to enjoy over the summer months.
Writers, readers, birders, skiers (Hotham and Falls similar distances) and adventurous holiday makers all enjoy the comfort and peace of Garden Cottage and make the most of exploring marvellous north east Victoria.
As an accredited cycle friendly business and as cyclists, your hosts can offer extensive local knowledge, suggestions and information for your cycling holiday.
Please contact Garden Cottage, Stanley, near Beechworth if you would like further information or view their website.
Visitors staying more than six nights can stay at a reduced nightly rate but we do have a surcharge for a one night stay.
