Botanic gardens old and new

Visit botanic gardens that were planted over a century ago, walk through the modern arid gardens at Cranbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens, or explore the cool rainforest, fern gully and terraces of Frankston Botanic Gardens.

Heritage horticulture

Take a stroll through the manicured gardens of old mansions and magnificent private grounds, many of which are open to the public year-round including The Briars Historic Park, Coolart Wetlands and Homestead, and Beleura House, built in 1863 and featuring a romantic Italian garden.

Discover the regional heritage with heirloom flowers, fruit and vegetables at Heronswood, where you can sit in the magnificent garden to savour lunch cooked with produce fresh from the edible gardens.
