Get ready for gluttony! This trail is only one kilometre but it packs a mighty punch.

Head down a hidden laneway to relax with a tipple or two at urban neighbourhood wine bar, Musk Lane.

Walk north to Piper Street. With its good food and great spaces, inside and out, the Royal George Hotel might be the perfect country pub.

Stop by Kyneton Farmers' Market (second Saturday of the month) in the Anglican church grounds. Midnight Starling does French bistro upstairs and Michelin-inspired dining in the cellar.

Fook Shing is named for an infamous Chinese detective posted to the goldfields during Victoria's Gold Rush, and is southeast Asian inspired from the menu to the decor.

Not just a foodstore, Piper Street Food Company is a charcuterie maker, picnic provisioner and cooking school.

Head next door to GINdulge at Animus Distillery. Relax in the cocktail lounge with a drink and order a snack from their in-house menu.

Walk it all off by continuing west to the Campaspe River, which helpfully hugs the southern border of the town, bringing you back near where you started on the C318. 1km
