Start in pretty Queenscliff at the historic Queenscliff Brewhouse for cellar door tastings, bistro dishes and superb local produce.

Head to Piknik, a converted roadhouse that showcases local and seasonal produce. It's just 5 kilometres to Merne at Lighthouse, for contemporary dining with outstanding views, then a few minutes further to Tuckerberry Hill, where you can pick strawberries and blueberries in season.

Go on towards Portarlington and the Little Mussel Cafe. Savour some local mussels and famous scallop pies on site, or take your seafood home.

Top-notch wineries Terindah Estate and Jack Rabbit are so close that you might as well drop into both for a tasting, and make it a triptych with a stop at the Whiskery for whisky, gin and snacks in the garden.

Scotchmans Hill is a veteran Bellarine winery producing cool maritime climate drops and has a beautiful cellar door among the vines.

It's 15 kilometres to the final pitstop, the energetic indoor-outdoor Flying Brick Cider House, which incorporates boutique winery Yes Said the Seal. 51km
