Torquay's Blackman's Brewery is a cruisy place for ale, lager and beer-friendly bites. It's 10 kilometres to Bellbrae Estate, one of just a few vineyards in the Great Ocean Road region. Enjoy wine, tasting plates and music some Sundays.
Twenty kilometres further along is Aireys Inlet, where you can roll up to Great Ocean Road Gin for a craft tipple and cheese board. More substantial eats are just a couple of minutes down the road: look left for modern Greek restaurant A la grecque, and look right for the sprawling Aireys pub.
Lorne's IPSOS, owned by the same family as a la grecque, is a popular spot for fresh Mediterranean meals. Break your trip here and head out for a fabulous meal. This sizeable town has plenty of accommodation to choose from.
Wye General Store has the best coffee on the coast and is great for breakfast, lunch, and provisions, with casual meals served all day.
Head slightly inland for fine dining at Chris's Beacon Point. The views are stunning and there's accommodation if you can't bear to leave.
Zip down to Apollo Bay and take your pick: the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse serves its own craft beer with a selection of 100 brews on offer at their dog-friendly tasting room, while the Apollo Bay Distillery makes a tasty combo of hand-crafted botanical gin and wood-fired pizza.
