Intro to Mosaics Weekend with Leadlight By Ettore

The Old Auction House, 52-56 Mollison Street, Kyneton, Victoria, 3444
20 - 21 Jul 2019

Come and try your hand at making a mosaic wall hanging, paver, or birdhouse in this intensive weekend workshop in Kyneton, Victoria.

Over the two days, you will learn all aspects of direct mosaicing onto your choice of a pre-made form. From transferring or sketching up your design right through to grouting your piece, we will show you all the tips and tricks to create a keepsake that will last for years and skills to make projects at home.

You will learn different ways to cut and shape glass using mosaic cutters, glass cutters, and glass grinders and get the opportunity to practice with some scrap. You can use all glass from our studio or you can include pieces of special objects that you bring along. Your tutor will go over the different aspects of glass selection, utilising not only colour but transparency and texture to create depth and interest in your finished piece.

Lunch and a divine afternoon tea is supplied on day one by a local cafe using all local organic produce and is able to cater for any dietary requirements. Students are generally finished in time to go for a late lunch on day two.
