Harvest and cook delicious fresh food from scratch at Smeaton’s picturesque Tuki Trout Farm. Take a seat at the farm’s kitchen table and get your hands dirty with basic bread and pastry making, whole carcass butchery, sausage making, fish preparation and cookery, salad preparation from scratch, and cooking over coals. Each dish will be produced with food grown on the farm or in the region. The fruits of your labour will be beyond apparent when you sit down for a mouth-watering lunch with your fellow masterclass participants.
Additional information: The menu will be determined by what is growing on the day, although the meat and fish component will remain standard. Each participant will receive recipe cards, growing tips, seeds, a diary, a paring knife and pastry knife, and an apron.
