Musk Farm is a 3.5 acre property, five kilometres from Daylesford in central Victoria.
The house and grounds of Musk Farm were originally the Musk Primary School, first opened in 1872. In 1998, some five years after the school was decommissioned, the property was purchased by well known Melbourne interior designer Stuart Rattle and his long-term partner Michael O’Neill, and was developed into a magnificent garden featuring 15 garden rooms.
Their tours run on set days usually, weekends and pre-booking is a requirement. They keep their tour groups small, so visitors have the opportunity to ask for tips and have questions answered along the way.
The garden tours are designed to be educational as well as entertaining and include a 45-minute walking tour through the 15 garden rooms. Each Garden Room offers a different experience, and changes dramatically each season.
Devonshire tea is offered as part of your tour experience. Weather, permitting, this will be served on the North Terrace and Chestnut lawn. In winter, morning and afternoon tea will be served in the dining room and formal siltting room of the Musk Farm Homestead. If you have any concerns or enquiries the best method is via email.
Price includes 45 minute garden tour of Musk Farm's 15 Garden Rooms, followed by Devonshire tea.
