Mitchell Community Multicultural Festival

Prepare to tantalise your tastebuds at the Mitchell Multicultural Festival on Friday 15 March 2019. As part of Cultural Diversity Week, Mitchell Shire Council is hosting the free event at Hadfield Park in Wallan to showcase the municipality’s rich diversity.

The evening’s menu will include food trucks from across the globe including Sunday Creek Southern BBQ, Yo India, White Guy Cooks Thai, Just like Nonna's and Kalloni Little Dessert Island just to name a few.

There will also be live entertainment including multicultural dancers, performers and instrumental groups as well as African Drummers and Indigenous groups.

There will be plenty of activities for all ages including henna tattooing, face painting, jumping castle and more, with performers offering interactive workshops for attendees to take part and join in the fun.

The festival is coordinated and hosted by the Mitchell Shire Community Development team in partnership with Kilmore District Health and has been funded by the Victorian Multicultural Commission/Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion division.
