Pom-me-granite Studios is a working ceramics studio and learning space, set in the rolling hills of Pastoria East in the Macedon Ranges. Jim and Emma Jimson, the carpenter and the ceramicist, opened in 2015 with the vision to design and create objects that last the test of time both in quality and style.
The Pom-me-granite tableware and fermentation range are created to enhance your everyday relationship with food, body and soul. Made in limited edition runs of 99, products are designed with function and form in mind. Porcelain is both incredibly strong and superbly delicate, and the process of slip casting affords an even fineness and translucency like no other.
Workshops are small in size and focus on the process of mould making and slip casting, combining a passion for plaster and porcelain. They cater for absolute beginners through to professional potters seeking to incorporate plaster moulds into their ceramic practice. You'll meet like-minded souls, gain confidence through gentle guidance and experimentation, and be inspired in a superb rural setting.
The studio is open by appointment.
