Well if you have, yes this is place that shot to fame following the book and film Picnic at Hanging Rock. But irrespective of whether you have or you have not, there is so much more to this place to show you.
On this adventure you will discover the mystery of Hanging Rock, a rare six-million year old volcanic plug which years of exposure to weather and erosion has created the most brilliant rock formations – one of the best examples of its type in the world.
And if you are lucky, you will spot some local wildlife too.
On this tour you will get to visit and experience Hanging Rock Reserve, one of the most well-known attractions in Victoria. Enjoy a guided tour to the summit, where you will walk beneath the Hanging Rock itself then visit some of the best viewing points of the region from high above.
This adventure includes transfers from Woodend Railway Station, the guided tour, admission fees, free time and we can even arrange a delicious gourmet picnic lunch, to truly make this experience your picnic at Hanging Rock.

With The Regional Wanderer, you will get into kitchens, amongst the vines, into production areas and places not accessible to the general public and they can even get you into a private zoo for a cuddle with a koala.
The Regional Wanderer has scheduled departures throughout the week, every week, where they will pick you up from your accommodation in the Macedon Ranges, or, if you are in Melbourne it is a quick trip up on the V/Line train and they will be there to welcome you when you arrive.
