The National Celtic Folk Festival is a four day arts, culture and folk event featuring music, dance, song, theatre, literature and family activities. The comprehensive festival program included concerts, workshops, master classes, displays, markets and special events. The event celebrates the diversity of Celtic Culture in a contemporary context whilst focusing on arts and folk.
The National Celtic Folk Festival is held annually at Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula. It is 105 kilometres from Melbourne and 30 kilometres from Geelong. The Festival is located in the heart of township and uses many of the town's landmark buildings, including the Rotunda, Parks Hall, churches, small halls, the Grand Hotel - 14 venues run across this long weekend.
The event showcases National and International artists and attracts local, intra state and interstate visitors to the region .
With a reputation that grows each and every year, this is Australia’s largest and most diverse Celtic gathering.
