Pako Festa 2021- Global Food: Saturday 27 February from 10:30am (pre-bookings required).
Geelong’s much loved annual award-winning Pako Festa returns for 2021 in a new COVID safe format. Despite the new format, the key core elements that people love about Pako Festa’s celebration of diversity remain, including an offering of global food from 19 local diverse ethnic communities. To ensure a COVID Safe event, Pako Festa will run across a broader area than just Pakington Street with 13 food hubs set up across Geelong. All guests will be required to pre-book online, choosing their preferred location and time across the day from 10:30am-4:00pm.
Bookings will open online from early February, event-goers are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
Pako Festa 2021- Night Projections: Saturday 27 February – 13 March nightly 8:30pm-11:30pm
Taking the place of the Great Pako Street Parade will be a more COVID Safe offering of night projections on the Geelong West Town Hall at 153 Pakington Street, offering a rich audio-visual experience featuring 30 diverse communities and an intimate insight into each culture.
Pako Festa 2021- Elements Of Culture Arts Trail: Saturday 27 February – 27 March
Pako Festa will showcase the work of professional and emerging local artists and local schools in the form of an Arts Trail along Pakington Street, between Gordon Ave and Church Street.
